It will be the 7th Annual Dave Roper Memorial Event this coming Sunday 10th April 2016 and is billed as a Cross Country Event which is run on Enduro lines. As the venue of Tye Farm is not available the new venue will be at Foxborough Quarry Sible Hedingham Essex and a special course has been laid out to emulate the Cornard track on a special field which contains several cambers but no ruts or bumps which will make it easier for the older machines in the Evo, Twin Shock and Pre 65 Classes. ...

Annual Dinner and Awards Night

The Sudbury Motor Cycle Club held their Annual Dinner and Awards Night at the Stoke-by-Nayland Hotel and Golf Club and the Club Chairman Gavin Hockey thanked everyone who has helped prepare the tracks for the seven events run in 2015 also helped in clearing up afterwards. Club President Roger Chaplin thanked the Committee for their work not only the organising also for acquiring, making and repairing equipment. A special thanks to Don Blackman for creating the Electronic Timing/Recording System which uses wristband transponders and used in five of the seven events last year. The Club has now achieved the second of the two goals they set out to do the first being the Extreme Enduro. Sudbury members in 2015 won four of the six Titles in the ACU Eastern Enduro Championship with Jamie Roper the Supreme Champion for the third year running also Sudbury members have won...

Foxborough 2 Man Enduro 27-9-2015

Course conditions were perfect for the 5th round of the Dave Barkshire Motorcycles Two Man Enduro Championship organised by the Sudbury Motor Cycle Club at Foxborough Quarry Sible Hedingham. Although a disappointing entry of only 25 teams over the three Classes those who rode thoroughly enjoyed the way the course was laid out. For the first time at a Two Man the Sudbury Club used their timing and recording system where riders had to swipe their wristband transponders against the receiver at the end of each lap while the special test timing was done the usual way. The Championship Class although with only three teams was hotly contested by Glenn Walsh/Craig Roper, Stevie Roper/Jack Berry (both pairs Sudbury) and Aston Bird/Carl Grantham (Woodbridge). Bird was in dominating form completing 15 laps along with Grant.....

With five of the six Class Titles to be won at the final round of the G H Motorcycles/Husqvarna/Eastern Centre Enduro Championship staged by the Woodbridge Motor Cycle Club at Butley Suffolk could there be upsets on the day.
